  • Any info on any of the kit they're wearing?
  • What rifle is that? Other than being carbine AR15 style. The yellow is just paint on functional rifles?
  • It's an LMT assault rifle, most likely the CQB 10.5 SBR with custom rifle butt and an EOTech sight. A lot of police units in the UK are using this rifle, or variations, and I believe they were ordered by the Ministry of Defence as a bulk buy, so similar rifles are likely in service with UKSF. The yellow paint is either for identification, visibility or training purposes. They're police so I doubt they're trying to remain hidden or concealed.
  • I believe yellow is used to identify training rifles. Not live fire
  • Nice info. I get that they are police, but many SWAT units are wearing dark balaclavas or buffs to conceal their faces which is odd. So are these guys.
  • Firearms teams that deal with dangerous and organised people (such as terrorists, drug gangs, human traffickers) are likely to be targetted just as detectives would be. There's also a possibility these are made of Nomex ,as their uniforms are likely to be, a fire retardant material that will protect them from fires.
